1. Check Water Quality Weekly

The most important maintenance task.

Test water at least once per week during the swimming season.
Keep pH within the recommended range (typically 7.2–7.6).
Avoid overdosing chemicals.
Use the minimum amount of chemicals necessary.
We recommend ozone treatment whenever possible.

Why?
Poor water chemistry is the main cause of corrosion, seal deterioration, discoloration, and reduced product lifespan.

2. Inspect Seals and Fittings

Every month, visually inspect:

Filter pump connections
Bulkhead fittings
Drain connections
Overflow connections
Sealant around fittings

Look for:

Small drips
Cracks
Movement of fittings
Deteriorated sealant

Repair small issues immediately before they become larger leaks.

3. Drain and Clean minimum Twice Per Year

At least every 6 months:

Completely drain the pool
Clean the inside walls and floor
Remove sediment and dirt
Inspect all fittings and seals
Replace or repair sealant if necessary
Refill with fresh water

This is the perfect opportunity to detect small issues before they become bigger problems.

4. Keep the Bottom Clean
Vacuum debris regularly.
Remove leaves, sand, insects, and organic material.
Use a pool vacuum or pool robot if available.

Why?
Organic material increases bacteria growth and affects water quality.

5. Clean the Filter System

Follow the filter manufacturer's instructions.

Generally:

Backwash sand filters regularly.
Ensure good water circulation.

Poor filtration leads to cloudy water and increased chemical use.

6. Protect Against Rust Immediately

If you notice:

Surface rust

Treat the affected area as soon as possible with a suitable metal protection product.

Small rust spots are much easier to repair than larger areas.

7. Use a Cover When Not in Use

Benefits:

Keeps water cleaner
Reduces evaporation
Reduces UV exposure
Reduces algae growth
Reduces maintenance

8. Keep Water Below Overflow Level

Avoid overfilling.

Heavy rainfall combined with overfilled pools can place unnecessary stress on fittings and overflow systems.

9. Keep the Pool Level

Periodically check that:

The pool remains level.
The base has not settled unevenly.

An uneven pool can create additional stress on fittings and connections.

10. Winter Storage (if applicable)

If the pool is not used during winter:

Drain completely.
Clean thoroughly.
Leave fittings open if recommended.
Store accessories in a dry location.
